Tardy Policy
Dear Parents:
The Administrators and faculty are always looking to do what is best for our students. We have reviewed our tardy policy and we feel that too many students are being tardy and are receiving in-school suspension. Therefore, we have made the following changes to our tardy policy:
Revised policy for 1st period tardies:
Students are allowed 3 free tardies (car breakdown, flats, weather, etc)
3rd tardy—student will receive a warning
4th tardy—student will receive one week break detention
5th tardy—student will receive another week of break detention and parent will be notified
6th tardy—student will receive another week of break detention
7th tardy—student will receive one hour of after school detention and a parent conference will be required
8th tardy—student will receive another hour of after school detention
9th tardy—student will receive another hour of after school detention
10th tardy—student will receive one day of in-school suspension and a parent conference will be required
11th tardy—student will receive one day out-of-school suspension
Revised policy for 2nd thru 7th periods tardies
Students are allowed 2 free tardies
3rd tardy—student will receive one week break detention
4th tardy—student will receive another week of break detention
5th tardy—student will receive another week of break detention and parent will be notified
6th tardy—student will receive another week of break detention
7th tardy—student will receive one hour after school detention
8th tardy—student will receive another hour of after school detention
9th tardy—student will receive one day out-of-school suspension and parent must return to school with child.
We would appreciate your help in this matter. We all have to work together to insure that our children receive the best possible education. If you have any questions or comments, please contact the school.
Sincerely,
Mr. Norwood, Principal
